Easy to assemble. I'm using mine to hold vining plants in front of the trellis I wish to cover with black-eyed Susans. It comes ready to be used as a window box, as well, with a place for supports. It also has optional plugs to close the drainage holes, if that is your preference. Heavy duty and well-built. Highly recommend. Each box is actually 2 pieces - the planting one fits inside the other. I'm guessing it will help keep the soil cooler and not dry out as quickly, along with helping it not get overly wet. The boxes are quite heavy so since we were hanging them off narrow deck rails, we bought 3 brackets for each box - for both sides and the middle. Great, sturdy setup that I believe will last for years.
