1. Who we are

SUQQ is an online marketplace serving the United Arab Emirates. This policy covers suqq.com and the SUQQ mobile apps, and should be read with our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

2. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can recognise your browser on the next request. HTTP has no memory of its own, so without one there is no way for the site to know that the person asking for the checkout page is the same person who signed in a moment earlier.

3. Every cookie we set

This is the complete list. It is short because we do not run advertising or analytics on this site.

• suqq_session — keeps you signed in. Set when you log in, removed when you log out. Without it you would have to sign in again on every page. The seller and admin portals each set their own, so signing in to one does not sign you in to another.
• suqq_oauth_state — a short-lived random value used only while you are signing in with Google or Apple. It lets us check that the reply came from the sign-in you started, and it is discarded immediately afterwards.
• suqq_locale — remembers whether you chose English or العربية, so the site does not revert on your next visit.
• suqq_emirate — remembers the emirate you are shopping from, so delivery times and availability are right without asking again.

All four are first-party: they are set by suqq.com and sent only to suqq.com. None of them is shared with anyone, and none is used to build a profile of you.

4. What we do not use

We think this is worth stating as plainly as what we do use, because it is the part most shoppers actually want to know:

• No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no ad-network pixels.
• No third-party analytics — there is no Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Segment or similar on this site.
• No selling or sharing of browsing data. There is nobody to share it with.
• No cross-site tracking, and no cookies set by anyone other than us.

Because we set no non-essential cookies, there is no consent banner to click through. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent before setting anything new, and this page will be updated first.

5. How long they last

suqq_oauth_state lasts seconds — only as long as a sign-in takes. suqq_session lasts for your signed-in session and is cleared when you log out. suqq_locale and suqq_emirate persist between visits so your choices survive, and you can clear them at any time.

6. Removing them

Every browser lets you view and delete cookies for a site — usually under Settings, then Privacy. Deleting ours is safe: you will be signed out, and the site will ask again for your language and emirate. Nothing else is lost, because nothing else is stored in them.

Blocking cookies for suqq.com entirely will prevent you from staying signed in, which means the cart and checkout cannot work. That is a limitation of how sign-in works on the web, not a choice we have made.

We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, as there is no agreed standard for what responding should mean. Since we run no tracking, there is nothing for such a signal to switch off.

7. Cookies and your personal data

Your session cookie is linked to your account while you are signed in, so it is personal data and is covered by our Privacy Policy, including your rights of access, correction and erasure under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021. The language and emirate cookies hold a preference and nothing that identifies you.

8. Changes to this policy

If we add anything that sets a cookie beyond the four above, we will update this page and the date at the top of it before that change goes live, and we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
