Tender Delicious Zucchini - Grow prolific Black Beauty Zucchini plants from these heirloom, open-pollinated seeds. This popular summer squash variety was an All-America Selections winner in 1957 for its abundant production of straight dark green zucchini with firm white flesh. The blossoms are also edible and can be stuffed for a delicious summer treat. Productive Plants - In USDA Zones 3-12, sow seeds directly outdoors at a depth of 1" in a sunny spot once the soil has warmed to 65° to 75° F in hills spaced 18”-24” apart. Germinates in 7-10 days. The compact vines reach 3-4' across and 2' tall and mature in 45-55 days. Harvest squash at 6-8” for best quality. Each pack contains approximately 21-27 seeds. Sustainable Living - Vegetable gardening is an essential foundation of a more self-sufficient lifestyle. Home-grown fruits and vegetables are generally more flavorful and nutritious than store-bought. Black Beauty is a popular choice for homesteads and survival gardens because it is so versatile.
