Its high content of unique fatty acids give it the ability to moisturize and retain the elasticity of the skin. It is pure white and almost odorless so that your DIY creations can shine through. The process used in refining our organic refined Shea butter is the same one used in edible oils. It involves bleaching clays and diatomaceous earth (DE). The main job of the bleaching clays is not only to remove color, it also significantly improves the flavor and stability of the butter. The two components work together exceptionally well in filtration to remove unwanted contaminants and particles.
