Meinl Hybrid Slaptop Cajon Box Drum with Snare and Bongo, Forward Sound Ports - MADE IN EUROPE - Baltic Birch Wood, 2-YEAR WARRANTY (HTOPCAJ3NT)

Hybrid snare cajon and bongo cajon sounds — the Meinl Hybrid Slaptop Cajon is reversable with one playing surface delivering bass and snare sounds like a snare cajon and the other responding with high and low pitch hollow tones like a bongo cajon. Play drum set grooves with bass and snare notes using your hands — the snare side of the Hybrid Slaptop Cajon has two zones for snare and one for bass — play in the center for warm bass and strike near the sides with your fingers for crisp snare sounds. Create cajon and bongo grooves — the bongo cajon side has two zones for high and low pitch notes to give you the effect of playing traditional bongo drums with the added warmth and depth of a hollow wood cajon. Made in Europe with Baltic birch — constructed with 100% Baltic birch, a wood type commonly found in high end drum set construction for its superb natural acoustic qualities that give you plenty of definition with deep bass and cutting high tones. Perfect for acoustic shows and jam sessions — the Hybrid Slaptop Cajon is a perfect grab-and-go percussion instrument for singer/songwriter circles, spontaneous jam sessions, accompanying guitarists and supporting acoustic bands in coffee house settings. Forward-facing sound ports — there are three forward-facing ports that project your rhythms to your audience while enveloping you in a healthy dose of sound — a large port in the center develops bass while two small ports on top project bongo cajon tones. Unique X-shape — measuring 14 ½"" L x 5 ¾"" W x 10"" H with an ergonomic X-shape body, this cajon sits comfortably in your lap with the body of the cajon between your knees — the X-shape helps you grip the cajon while making it easy to flip around.
