Bongo Drum Set with Durable Synthetic All-weather Shells, Journey Series — NOT MADE IN CHINA — Natural Buffalo Skin Heads, 2-YEAR WARRANTY

OUR MOST SOLID BONGOS: their hard-to-damage, thick synthetic shells can take a lot more abuse than traditional wood; plus, they won't expand or contract during changes in weather which can affect tuning. WHY IT MATTERS: you get to play more without hassle since the bongos require little to no maintenance; Journey Series Bongos are always ready to go from beaches to parks to open mic night. ONE TAKEAWAY: their sound doesn’t fall short of wood bongos by using buffalo heads; most higher-end bongos have the same heads, so you're getting consistent, authentic sound full of warmth, depth, and clarity. HOW TO ADJUST PITCH: includes a tuning wrench to make quick adjustments or head changes; tighten the steel tension rods for a higher pitch and loosen to drop pitch (bongos come pre-tuned but may require some adjustment). SIZE: the heads measure 6 ½” and 7 ½” (an industry standard); the bongos are 7"" tall and weigh 6.3 lbs with a standard size synthetic connection block that fits any stand (bongo stand sold separately). ZOOM IN: our rounded rims sit below the heads so your hands don't make contact with the steel hardware while playing; you can fully engage without hurting your palms. THE BOTTOM LINE: they'll do the trick anywhere like acoustic shows, studios, in praise bands or campsite sing-alongs, and it doesn't matter what your skill level is; they're easy to play whether you're a drummer or singer with no percussion experience. THE BIG PICTURE: Meinl is a family-owned musical instrument manufacturer and brand established 1951 in Germany; our expert German designers have deep relationships with our builders to ensure you're delivered the absolute finest quality
